safari!

We've unexpectedly been allowed brief internet access! I'm keeping this extremely short as there's a line of students waiting for a chance at the computers.

Safari just gets awesomer and awesomer. We've been in Oldonyo Sambu, then Tarangire National Park, then Nou Forest, then Yaida Valley, and now we're heading to Ngorogoro Crater and the Serengeti. Highlights included zillions of birds, lions mating!, collecting wild honey with the Hadza (Hunter-Gatherers who are totally wicked -- they also taught us how to do beadwork and make arrows), sleeping on rocks under the stars, and having biology and anthropology lessons all over Tanzania.

We're all so excited that Obama won the elections! We all woke up at 4am to watch the unfolding of the election results, and we huddled together on Thad's floor with mugs of tea and coffee in hand to get us through the sunrise. It was so great.

More in a month or so!
