two days till takeoff...

I am almost completely packed. The bag I will check is under the 44lbs limit by about 10lbs, but it's also totally stuffed. I ended up evicting most of a bottle of aloe, a brush (seeing as how I currently lack hair), and several toothbrushes. Fun items I packed include stickers, a Swahili phrasebook, and about a gazillion ballpoint pens.

There was a period of about ten minutes where I freaked out because I couldn't find my passport, but then I followed Emily's advice ("Look in stupid places!") and found it in an envelope marked Important Documents which was tucked inside a hanging file titled Medical Stuff in my filebox. All is good.

Except I still have to finish both my essays, and they're due by August 31 before I get on the plane.
